As part of the Mali Country Learning Hub (Mali CLH/CAPEV) established and coordinated by GaneshAID, the situational analysis and rapid assessment to address the issues of the Malian zero-dose landscape have been conducted within Gavi’s IRMMA framework.
The ‘Rapid Assessment of Zero-dose and under-immunised children in Mali’ report highlights key barriers to immunisation in the African country such as geographic and security challenges, stockouts, and socioeconomic factors. It also identifies essential interventions to improve vaccination coverage, including data quality enhancements, cold chain capacity expansion, and targeted district implementation, as well as emphasises the importance of continuous learning, effective partnerships, and innovative approaches to reach missed opportunities.
The report was published under the implementation of GaneshAID’s Mali Country Learning Hub, the project funded by Gavi and led by the National Immunization Center (CNI) to support CNI and its partners in documenting interventions on zero-dose vaccination in Mali for improved health equity.
