The company specializes in health system strengthening, public health supply chains, capacity building and learning, and digital health solutions. GaneshAID operates as a think-tank and aims to improve the health status and well-being of the people in Low- and Middle-income countries in Asia Pacific, Africa, and the Middle East. Job Description

Department: Academy Business Unit

Work Location: 143 Doc Ngu St, Ba Dinh Dist., Hanoi

Immediate Supervisor: Project Operation Manager

Shall report to: Project Operation Manager

Function

The BU leader oversees the GaneshAID Academy Business Unit’s daily operations, supervises and trains staff, and ensures that the BU is reaching its goals. In this position, he/she is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to increase revenue, improve efficiency, and achieve GaneshAID’s goals to develop innovative and attractive public health LEARNING AND PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT (LPM) programs targeted to health workers, managers, and leaders in Low and Middle-income countries.

Responsibilities

  1. TEAM MANAGEMENT
  • Leading a team of instructional designers and overseeing their work performance to ensure business goals are met;
  • Ensuring instructional designers are applying instructional design international standards for all ACADEMY products and services.
  1. STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT
  • Developing a strategic plan for the business unit to support company goals;
  • Working with senior management to develop organizational goals and objectives.
  1. OPERATION MANAGEMENT
  • Managing budgets, financial activities, and cash flow for the business unit;
  • Overseeing operations and ensuring that customer service standards are met;
  • Ensuring that all legal requirements are met, including labor laws, environmental regulations, and other rules and regulations;
  • Reviewing reports on business performance and making recommendations for improvement.
  1. BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
  • Developing marketing strategies for Learning and Performance Management (LPM) products or services that take into account customer needs, competitor offerings, and industry trends;
  • Determining pricing strategies for new products or services based on costs of production, research and development expenses, and profit margins;
  • Taking the lead in the screening of RFPs and writing process for application to big clients: Gavi, USAID, The Global Fund, UNICEF, etc.;
  • Watching the industry and market to identify new business ideas in PLM;
  • Building a network of clients and partners of the ACADEMY.

Required qualifications and skills

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in economics, social sciences, management or education, public administration or a related field, preferably focused on capacity building;
  • Minimum 10 years of technically relevant work experience required;
  • Expertise in instructional design and adult learning;
  • In-depth knowledge of mobile learning solutions and LMS training platforms;
  • In-depth knowledge of instructional design engineering tools (LMS, Storyline authoring tools is a plus);
  • In-depth knowledge of performance management models;
  • Excellent Microsoft suite knowledge;
  • Tact, discretion, and sensitivity to cultural differences;
  • Sense of organization, methodological rigor, reliability;
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in parallel;
  • Ability to listen, advise and support decision-making;
  • Proficient in English and French.
